Vitamin D Levels in Children Presenting with Breath-holding Spells

Aim: This study aimed to examine the vitamin D levels in children who experience breath-holding spells (BHS) and compare these with those of a healthy control group. The goal was establish connection between BHS levels.
 Method: records 98 patients, presented Pediatric Neurology Cardiology polyclinics Adıyaman University Training Research Hospital December 2019 October 2022, were retrospectively reviewed. Fifty-two patients did not meet inclusion criteria excluded. included forty-six whose laboratory results assessed group fifty-three individuals. Fe, serum iron binding capacity, ferritin, B12, measured all patients.
 Results: comprised 46 (female/male ratio = 1.4), consisting 27 girls (58.6%) 19 boys (41.3%). Within our patient cohort, 39 individuals (84.8%) diagnosed cyanotic-type spells, three (6.5%) pallid-type four (8.7%) mixed-type spells. For experiencing BHS, comprehensive analysis conducted on parameters including complete blood count, levels, iron-binding ferritin levels. Although no significant correlation identified this study, noteworthy connections established lower hemoglobin decreased B12 reduced Moreover, upon exclusion exhibiting low values from analysis, statistically relationship emerged deficiency anemia occurrence (p
